Tracking Class comes to an end
Review for class

Class came to an end this week. I just wanted to post a quick overview and goals for the summer and next session. To me this class is what you put into it. Showing up to track once every other week is not going to work. During the first 2-3 months it was a grind. Almost daily practices of baby cheese tracks, article games and just getting by boy excited to participate. It was a lot of going back to basics to help solidify in his sighthound brain what I was asking him to do. I felt like we fumbled through until mid January. Then it seemed like things began to click for both us. I was feeling more confident with my track laying abilities. Finwe was doing well with longer tracks and spacing the food out further and further. It is easy to forget where we started just a few months ago. Since everything was recorded for the class it was fun and helpful to go back and see our progress. I can't thank MaryAnn and Judi enough for all of their guidance. You ladies truly went above and beyond. The whole class was such a positive experince.
Goals going forward
Line work and keeping tension
Start utilizing the drag bag to work on stretching out the
food drops
Work on 90 degree turns vs open angle to hone in what his
specific “loss of scent” looks like
Work the rotation of Starts, endurance tracks, article tracks and turns

I love the video!! You have really put in the work and it shows! Thanks for being such a delight in class. I know we will continue our journey together!
