Tracking Class February 22nd, 2025

Today tracking class was at Holly Ridge. We started class with a competitive article game. Three tracks were set up with 3 articles and food was placed inside the articles and tied to a string on each track. Then our assignment was to lay our own tracks. WITH TWO TURNS! Fin's track inadvertently was aged for a little over 2 hours. He struggled due to a nearby dog barking and jumping at the fence.

Feedback and current homework to be working on.

  1. Line tension, keeping the line with tension at all times.
  2. Stop taking a step forward when he is stalled.
  3. "Starting at clock" when he stalls. Having the same command to verbally get him going without me moving.
  4. Start to incorporate 2 turns into our tracks. Either direction. Try and keep them open angle for now.
  5. Continue stretching food pattern.
  6. Continue putting article on a tether.
