Had to deal with a rabbit today. I laid the tracks and then when I returned with Finwë a cotton tail was just sitting on the trail on the way to my tracks. He tried to chase it and was pretty distracted after that and kept looking for it.

Track 1
- 12 feet aged 20 minutes
- bate was hard salami and Iberico cheese cut up very small. Placed 6-8 inches apart
- I remembered the harness this time!
- did not take the water offered
- had to keep prompting him at the start to ignore the rabbit!
Track 2
- 20 feet aged 25 minutes
- spaced the treats a few inches farther apart.
- he is still turning to the side a lot to pick up the treats
Track 3
- 25 ft aged 30 minutes
- same bate was used.
- The rabbit was back. Took awhile to get him to refocus on the track.
- He stopped mid track and I just waited him out. He actually didn’t take too long to start on his own again.
- finally took water when offered.

I absolutely love how you handled the rabbit! Well done. I’m also happy this is happening now—and I hope Mr Bunny is a regular for you. Imagine how you’d feel if he showed up at a test without this excellent foundation work! Those tracks look great!
